Sauteed Shredded Cho-choes

Ingredients

  • Medium cho-choes, peeled
  • Tablespoons grace hello margarine
  • Medium onion, chopped
  • Stalk escallion, chopped
  • Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1⁄8 Teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄8 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1⁄4 Cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1⁄4 Teaspoon nutmeg, grated

Method

1. Peel and core the cho-choes then wash and drain. Shred coarsely and set aside.

2. Heat Grace Hello Margarine in a skillet. Add chopped onion, escallion and garlic and saute for about one minute.

3. Mix in the shredded cho-choes and stir while cooking; add the salt and black pepper.

4. Turn off the flame and mix in the grated cheddar cheese until it melts.

5. Plate and garnish with nutmeg.

Notes

Shreds of one small carrot may be added along with the cho-choes.

To serve

Serve hot.
