Canada’s food inspection standards are different than those of the US Food and Drug Administration. The Grace Ackee product marketed in Canada uses ackee from sources approved by Canada’s food inspectors, but which may not be FDA approved.
Grace Ackee sold in the US uses ackee from FDA approved factories. If you wish to enjoy ackee in the US, Grace recommends you purchase the product online (click here), or from a reputable Caribbean marketplace.
