  • 2 pound(s) fish fillet
  • 1/4 cup(s) Grace Vinegar
  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) white pepper
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, cut in rings
  • 1/2 cup(s) white wine
  • 1 cup(s) white sauce
  • TO MAKE WHITE SAUCE:
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Grace Margarine
  • 1 tablespoon(s) Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) white pepper
  • 1 cup(s) whole milk

Fish Fillet in White Wine Sauce Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease a 1 quart casserole dish.
  2. Clean fish fillet with a solution of Grace Vinegar and water. Pat dry with absorbent paper.
  3. Season fish fillet with salt, white pepper and minced garlic. Arrange seasoned fish fillet in the greased casserole dish and top with onion rings.
  4. Combine white wine with white sauce and pour liquid mixture over fish fillets, cover with aluminium foil.
  5. Place in pre-heated oven and allow to bake until done.

    WHITE SAUCE:
  6. In a saucepan melt Grace Hello Margarine, add flour and stir together until mixture thickens. Reduce flame, add salt and pepper.
  7. Gradually add milk, whisking briskly to avoid lumping.
  8. Cook slowly until mixture thickens.
  9. Use as directed.
